PASSIONATE WINEMAKERS
We have been producing wines on family estates since 1860, on Etna, Sicily and Lazio. The traditional rows and the typical terraces have been flanked by modern production techniques, to ensure gradual and continuous production improvements.
THE FAMILY
SCAMMACCA DEL MURGO
Baron Emanuele Scammacca del Murgo, although engaged in a long diplomatic career that led him to be Ambassador of Italy to the Holy See, Brussels, Moscow and Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, in 1981 decided to transform the ancient land properties of family in modern and productive farms, implementing gradual and continuous improvements.
In the following years his sons Michele, Alessandro, Pietro, Matteo joined him, supported by his brothers Filippo, Bernardo, Manfredi and Costantino.
Today we continue with the family tradition, looking to the future together with the new generations.
