This wine is obtained from a Nero Buono di Cori vineyard, planted in 2012 on the La Francescana estate for the first time in 2012.
Although it has been counted among the disappeared vines, this variety, typical of Lazio and originally from Cori, has recently been rediscovered by some courageous producers.
In our conditions it expresses completely peculiar notes and sensory aspects that give this variety a strong personality.

This oil is obtained from Nocellara dell’Etna olives harvested in the autumn in the family olive grove and sent on the spot to cold extraction, not filtered. Nocellara dell’Etna is a typical variety of the province of Catania from which oils with particular elegance and finesse are obtained.

This oil is obtained from Nocellara dell’Etna olives harvested in the autumn in the family olive grove and sent on the spot to cold extraction, not filtered. Nocellara dell’Etna is a typical variety of the province of Catania from which oils with particular elegance and finesse are obtained.
This wine comes from a vineyard planted in 2002 on the Tenuta Francescana Estate, above underground caves used for centuries in the removal of volcanic stone. During the Battle of Anzio, in the Second World War, due to their strategic location in the heart of the frontline, the caves were used as a shelter for civilians and soldiers.
The presence of these hollows increases the quality of ripening of the grapes, due to the insignificant depth of the soil.
The Cabernet Sauvignon grape vineyard was planted in 2006 in the Tenuta del Gelso Bianco, located on the gentle slopes that anticipate the plain of Catania. The soil is clayey-calcareous of medium texture.
This wine expresses the true characteristics of Nerello Mascalese grown on the eastern slope of Etna.
The specific microclimate is affected by the influence of the Ionian Sea, which contributes great finesse and elegant complexity, which can be attributed to the balanced and refined flavors of this variety.
The combination of Catarratto with Caricante improves the fullness and complexity and balance of acidity. Alongside the elegance that this wine expresses, notes of considerable aromatic complexity emerge with mineral sensations that come from the volcanic soil.
This wine has a particular link with the traditions of the Etna area where it was common practice to carry out very short macerations in order to produce fruity and drinkable wines, very popular in the area. The production techniques used enhance the aromatic characteristics of the vines used. It is a rosé wine of good coloring intensity with moderate tannins that also finds perfect combinations with fish-based dishes and fresh tomato-based dishes.
